Follow-Up Financial Advice (FFA)

Follow-Up Financial Advice (FFA)

Follow-Up Financial Advice (FFA) is an hourly advisory service available only to existing Clients who have previously completed a Standalone Financial Planning (SFP) engagement with Soesbe Financial. FFA is not available to new Clients.

FFA is intended for returning Clients who seek a shorter engagement (typically two to five hours) with the Planner to address specific questions or topics that are general and informational in nature. This service may include assistance with clarifying or updating information from a prior SFP engagement, addressing straightforward financial questions, or supporting the implementation of financial planning recommendations previously provided by Soesbe Financial.

FFA is not a comprehensive financial planning engagement. It does not include the preparation of long-term or forward-looking projections, a full review or analysis of the Client’s overall financial situation, or the development of new, comprehensive financial planning recommendations. Advice provided during an FFA engagement is based on limited information and the specific matters discussed and should not be relied upon as a substitute for a full financial planning engagement.

FFA engagements will be billed hourly, with a one-hour minimum and in 6-minute increments thereafter, at the hourly rate then in affect.

Examples of questions addressed in a Follow-Up Financial Advice engagement:

  • What is the difference between pre-tax and Roth contributions to my company-sponsored retirement account (e.g. 401k, 403b, 457) and how will it affect me currently and in the future?
  • What options are there in saving for my child’s college and what general rule of thumb is there for how much to save?
  • I was just hired at a new company. How do I determine which of the employee benefits are best to choose for me and my family?
  • What are the tax implications if I sell my house or investment real estate?
  • Was my tax return prepared correctly?
